A wonderful thunderstorm came through and the sound reverberated all around the sky! I just love it and hung out the window, listening. The clouds then rolled on to the south and I could see in amongst these ones, the occasional flash of lightening!

@cdonohoue Thank you Cathy - actually some other photos I took of these clouds are even more dramatic - like navy blue! But I like seeing the top of these clouds.
Happy New Year Maggie, only just a few hours to go and we are down your neck of the woods, Wanaka, this year so have been thinking of you:) but I think we'll stop for a cuppa next time we're down this way. Wonderful scenery! Pretty and dramatic sky! Happy New Year to you, Maggie, and my greetings from snowy Russia! I'm sure our best shots are awaiting all of us in this new year!
I would be captivated by that storm as well. Those clouds look awesome. We are on top of a mountain and sometimes when the storms hit here it feels like the thunder and lightning are being produced directly overhead. But I love listening to the wind in the trees- even when the thunder claps make my heart pound twice as hard and my heart beat accelerate!
