I think this is actually quite a different looking flower to say, a rose, but in its way it has beauty. Its not mine but photographed at our Gardens in the Hot House. I wanted to buy an orchid to have in my Glass House but they were $45 for only 1 stalk!
Three good things;
1.Planted about 35 broad beans in the vegie garden which John dug ( he said that's a blue job). My 'pink' job was to vacuum the carpet.
2. He cleaned the log burner window. You do it by putting a bit of the wood ash on a tissue and lightly rubbing it over the glass. It comes out as clear as new!
3. My sister came to stay for the night and we talked till 11pm!
First I think your TGT are all excellent ..I like the tips for the wood burner & the 'blue' & 'pink' jobs!! I must admit Harry does a pink job with the hoovering although I did it this morning & he definitely does the digging.
Orchids are so expensive but must admit I am not a lover of them , thank goodness at that price but do say this is a rather exotic looking flower!
Just spoken to them on North Island & they were going to some sort of festival at Raglan were they are shipping in lorry loads of snow...Max is very excited!!
Beautiful shot. Great color tones. Cheap orchids here sell for $10. Prices can go a lot higher, depending upon the type of orchid. I did not blink my eyes when I read that this orchid cost you $45.
We saw an orchid farm in Hawaii. They are certainly beautiful flowers!! You've captured this one very nicely!
(It reminds me a bit of "Alice in Wonderland" when she's singing with the flowers.)
Nice capture. I love orchids and if I remember correctly, they take a lot of care. Years ago, my brother had quite a few different varieties of orchid.
How gorgeous and exotic! I'm always amazed at how long an orchid blossom lasts and how little care they actually require for such fragile looking plants. Love your three good things ~ sounds like you had fun with your sister!
Orchids are very mysterious and exotic. And apparently, EXPENSIVE. haha And that #2 good thing was a new one to me. Sounds like you had a lot of good things this day!
