Dilemma by maggiemae

Dilemma

I biked down to the supermarket to get just a few groceries but of course, got carried away! When I got out to my bike and its two paniers, I thought there was no way I would be able to carry all six bags! I got my phone out to ring John to come down and save me but my phone was flat! Hence dilemma! I had to walk home!

Three good things:
1. It only took 20 minutes
2. Saved the petrol which has gone up in price.
3. Had my exercise for today including mowing the lawn so afternoon off - reading, 365, waiting for the predicted snow storm to arrive!
Snow?! Yowzers! Definitely looks overloaded. i almost missed the question at the top of the shot too! I;m impressed your carried SIX bags home!

Oh dear! But you made do- and just think of all the extra calories you burned!

ooops! i well remember the days when i had to be careful how much i bought at the store because of the risk i wouldn't be able to get it all home... glad you figured it out and got your exercise into the bargain! at the bike store where i got my tune up they have a sign that reads: "cars run on money and make you fat; bikes run on fat and save you money" - ain't it the truth?!!

August 28th, 2013
Oh Maggiemae, you are a character... I wish I would had been able to see you juggling bags and possibilities...
August 28th, 2013
Oh my, I am glad to hear that it was only 20 minutes, but I bet it was a long 20 minutes
August 28th, 2013
as long as you didn't have ice cream it's not bad.
August 28th, 2013
There was no way I could hold an icecream too, Richard! I was hanging on to every bag in some sort of fashion as well as my camera!

Jo
No eggs in any if those bags??!!

You did very well.
August 28th, 2013
@joluise Yes, Jo - there was 15 eggs in the top bag - that's why I walked home. Didn't want to risk the bag breaking or me falling off!

August 29th, 2013
Oh dear...best laid plans gone awry. :) Snow? That's the first mention of snow I've seen on 365 in quite a while. Glad you made it home safe and sound with all of your provisions before the first flakes begin to fall.
August 29th, 2013
The bike does look a bit overloaded. Glad you made it home ok.

Very funny shot -- it's so easy to forget you you don't have the car when you start throwing stuff in the cart. But exercise is good.
