"The modest Rose puts forth a thorn,
The humble sheep a threat'ning horn:
While the Lily white shall in love delight,
Nor a thorn nor a threat stain her beauty bright." William Blake
I did find it hard to get the white of this lily clear and not grainy.
Three good things:
1. Hired a trailer and got rid of all the garden rubbish.
2. My days are filling up with stuff I need to go to. Want, actually, not need.
3. Only four more sleeps till our weekend in Sydney ( often joked about going to Sydney for the weekend, what!)
@carolinedreams Thats the flower itself, Caroline - normally I shoot them when they are completely unfurled but I thought, why not give it a shot semi furled!
My calla blooms in April and now is a mass of fallen stalks with slugs and snails feasting on them. Nice to see that they are just coming into glory at your place
Fav! This is exquisite and you captured it perfectly. Your #1 is on my list for tomorrow, only I will not hire a trailer....will make do with lawn bags, trash barrels and rope :-) Fun!
I look forward to your Sydney photos - there have been some great ones on 365, so no pressure there then!
