Turning point.. by maggiemae

Turning point..

This is the old railway line of a steam engine which has been taking tourists for a short ride but unfortunately has not been able to make a go of it and it is closed down! So sad to see all the carriages and two big steam engines shunted into a yard to moulder! There were numerous point releases like this along the rails. It is set on a lake where we were staying!

Three good things:
1. My nephew is released from his pain and we will now take pleasure in his memory.
2 we have decided to go to his memorial service and as it is in Nelson, are wending our way up the beautiful West Coast staying at various lovely places on the way.
3 our internet usage is minimal so I have to type very fast!
Maggiemae, this is fantastic.

The processing of this is perfect. It's a little melancholy. It fits the feel of the empty rail yard.
So sorry to hear of your nephew's passing. Travel safely!

First so sorry about your dear nephew but you are right to be thankful for his life & that he is out of pain...still hard for people who loved him though.
Love the softness here ...all those swaying grasses & the b/w conveys the rather neglected railway tracks. Such a pity but nothing can run unless it's a viable service.

A beautiful shot with lovely processing! Would the steam train be the Kingston Flyer? How sad if it is as that's the train I went on. Your journey sounds wonderful Maggiemae even with your sad destination. Such a sad time for you and your family! Big hug!
December 9th, 2013
@pamknowler it was the Kingston Flyer and so sad that it is lost now! We need a millionaire!
