Up north in NZ means closer to the equator. But as the climate is not that hot, its a great place for wines and olives. I think there must be too many olive trees in this photo as it is the 5th time I've tried to load this today!
Three good things:
1. You guys are just so wonderful with your comments and wit - bring a smile to my face!
2. No 2 son arrives in a day and I am so looking forward to it even if we do argue a lot!
3. No 1 all again!
Lovely shot. I'm a Northlander. Where is this? I love the lines - down the drive then the olives continuing those lines. The fallen autumnal leaves make it. A really interesting shot. Thanks for sharing.
What a wonderful view. There's a wonderful vineyard about ten miles from my home. The wine they produce won an award, beating French wines. I love to visit it
If you replaced the olive trees with apple trees this could be the UK. Lovely composition in this shot. I love NZ sauvignon blanc. it is quite expensive compared to others here in the UK.
@maggiemae I thought it looked familiar when I saw it on my home page :) I'm from north of there - Bay of Islands - but I have friends who live not far from this place :) Great shot.
Beautiful scene maggiemae....I have never been any further north than Auckland....one day! I try & bumpy NZ wine as often as possible naturally although it is quite pricey in the UK.love the falling leaves....looks like home! Fave!
@happypat Thanks for your fav, Pat - I"m quite surprised at the response to this picture. Please tell me what bumpy wine you buy - I think I'd like to try it too!
