A minor "Southern Alp" (known as Mt Hutt - ski field)
Not one of the higher mountains in this range but a mere foothill. The sun struck a certain ridge on this mountain and I zoomed in using the car as a tripod. After looking at this later, we identified this as Mt Hutt and the ski field can just been seen!
Three good things;
1. I'm going to get a haircut - need a new look!
2. Scenic trip down the centre of Canterbury towards home.
3. Plenty of power points. Our lives depend on so many batteries but fortunately not needing a pacemaker at this point.
@jackie8 Thank you Jackie! Its good to be this close to a mountain when its like this! Its Mt Hutt Ski field and about to be opened for the ski season!
@maggiemae my brain must be weird...because often, when I see a photo, a word pops in my head. Or a phrase. But usually a word. Or sometimes, a feeling hits me, but that is more 'normal" I think.
@espyetta I'm like that too when looking at a photo - a phrase pops in my mind and after a small hesitation, thats what I put down. You can see the ski lifts here - the cable car was in another part of the South Island.
