appreciating the rain that fell most of the day. I got lazy for photos and just hung out the window beside my computer and used a zoom setting.
Three good things:
1. A fire on all day - it was only 11deg!
2. Over half my 'friends' on 365 have stopped posting but there are some really good ones staying which brighten up my day and make it so interesting!
3. I even enjoyed a bike ride on Ruby in the rain! Speed 4 and I was doing 22kph!
I miss the 'old school' too Magiemae.......you get used to,people but new ones take their place eventually.......I would hate to see you go so don't you dare! A very beautiful rose.......love that pale blush pink on the petals. Younare a speed merchant....copying all those Bert Monroe competitors but remember you are not on a motorbike!
Sometimes I get sad about the changes on here. I miss those old friends. It's easy to develop friendships on here and sad that people come and go so frequently. This is so pretty all drenched in the rain. Enjoy your cozy day.
Beautiful water droplets and rose. I post a bit less frequently than I did, but plan to stick around. Most of the people I 'met' on here when I started almost two years ago have now given up.
Beautiful capture of this rain soaked rose....which is exactly what I photographed yesterday, except that I actually got outside in the rain!! ;-)) Ours wasn't too bad, a steady drizzle all day long, but got pretty heavy overnight, and now it is bright and sunny....in December, which is NOT our summer! I do hope you stay on....people do come and go here, and sometimes just reappear after a hiatus...
Lovely crinkly edges on your Rose and delicate rain drops. The slight pink blush is very pretty. I have lost about the same amount of friends too from when I originally started, 4 hrs ago, but it's great to have some new ones, like yourself, who take their place.
Beautiful rose love the raindrops freshening the bloom , I agree there is some missing of my friends too but then there are one or two steadt soldiers in the bunch !! I am going no where I spite of finding it quite difficult at the moment -- I couldn't bear the withdrawal symptoms !!! lol !
Half of your friends are gone now? It is sad when you "lose one" isn't it? I miss a lot of the folks that were on here in 2011. I really miss Joyce Wells, my teacher friend from up in Cape Cod. At least some of us from back then are still on here, checking in on each other!
I love your photo, the detail you captured and the rain. Sounds like a wonderful day to go for a bike ride. I am one of those people not posting on a regular basis. Gotta try after the not wanted and not really supposed to be there next door neighbors. At least they are quiet. Cannot wait for them to be gone. Long story. FAV
I missed this so glad that i went on to PP. Congratulations for being there. Really delicate and strong at the same time. We had a very wet day too, so much so that it was the first time that I wrapped my camera in a plastic bag as I ventured out to a craft fair.
Great shot for just hanging out the window and zooming. I do that a lot if the weather is bad or my pain takes over. Love the rain on the rose. Very pretty.
Re point 2, 2015 will be a fresh start for me with daily posts.
