Some poppies have seeded by the edge of the garden under the grapevine and this one is white, the first I have seen! I shall have to keep the seeds
Three good things:
1. Taken away 180kg of prunings to the town dump.
2. Finally finished sneezing after this activity.
3.Some guys came inside to install whats necessary for the fibre broadband connections.
A stunning shot of this very unusual white poppy -- I should try some of the seeds for next year --but there is no guarantee as I think they cross-pollinate !
Fibre optics, my word maggiemae you will be wizzing with the computer.....poppies are glorious whatever colour but you don't often see a white one! It looks like crushed silk!
@happypat It looked better on the photograph, Pat than it did in the garden - its really quite small as yet. Doesn't get the sun so it mightn't develop. Our installation won't be connected until they do the digging work out from the road and they can't do that on holidays.
This is beautiful Maggiemae. I love poppies. Fibre optic is very impressive. We're still waiting for our high speed broadband to be connected. It was supposed to be done over two years ago so I'm not holding my breath!
Great shot, Maggie. I've never seen poppies in real life. Only in photos. I have to say this is a first for me as well. What a lovely flower. I'd save the seeds too. I bet it was worth the sneezing. Fav!
@summerfield If you get one to seed, then there will be more! This one was growing where there are other purple poppies which have never grown in this place before!
