This is the street that Oamaru displays as part of the Victorian heritage scene they are so proud of. I practice ukelele in the tallest building and trek up three stories to an art gallery where we sing and play.
Three good things;
1. Some ladies from another area, called Wairunga visited our group to sing with and we provided supper for them before their hour long journey home.
2. My capsicums are turning red but there are only 3 on the bush.
3. Watching Crufts and particularly the gun dogs - thought of Judith ( @judithg )and her English cocker spaniel, Monty.
I know it's very sad seeing that lovely gundog face - Monty is an English Cocker Spaniel - a bit heavier set that a springer and not quite as energetic.
Nicely done on the night scene. You play the uke? That is becoming popular again here. I have one I've had since I was a kid, but don't play it. It sits on a shelf in my "office" room
I thought for a minute you had taken this in the UK maggiemae....quite an English look to this photo! Good to,see where you go for your uke practice. Alex is in Duntroon I noticecwhen she posted on FB today...she has a friend who loves round there. So you get a work out for your legs as well as ukulele practice!
After climbing all those stairs and before practise starts, you need a good rest. climbing stairs is strenuous at any time, but when you have problems with your legs, it's double bad. your night scene of the Victorian houses is beautiful even if the cars are a bit our of place there..
just go back when there are less cars parked on the street that way you don't have a lot to clone out. i love the colour tones of the shot and i also thought it was a photo from your english sojourn sometime ago. very nice.
