Visiting Dunedin for a necessary appointment with the Hospital, I took advantage of a restaurant that looked out on this scene! Lunch had lemon sole and thrice cooked chips. The fish tasted like whitebait and the chips were so crisp but soft inside!
Three good things;
1. I tried for a photograph to compare with Cambridge Universities and Judith ( @judithg )
with our great Otago University! Not the same depth of history. Will post that on my other album.
2. I did enjoy the day with my iPhone keeping me in touch with 365 and all the wonderful comments on my photos! Plus a book and my camera!
3. My head is going round with fuel economies on so many different cars including our own!
@happypat sshhh! We are not telling anybody! lol! Probably - one car we chose to have a test drive in was so comfy it was like a moving lounge with everything at your finger tips!
Wonderful light on this one! And, what a great day to go with it! Love having my 365 with me, especially now that I have replaced my ipad! Some of these photos really need to be viewed large!
@maggiemae It was a pleasure Maggiemae! I fell a little behind this past week, and had really missed your wonderful photos, along with some other people that I follow. I am making a serious effort to catch up this week, as if that is ever going to happen!
And, yes, about dendrology..... I grew up speaking Greek and Turkish, and most words have either a Greek or Latin derivation. I do pretty well with Greek words, at least in their basic meaning, even if I don't quite know what the actual science is. Dendro is Tree, so I figured it had to do with trees or woody structures! ;-))
What a gorgeous shot, Maggiemae. I love the blue tones and the amazing sky. Sounds like a nice day out. What is going on with the fuel and your head going around? FAV
What a lovely colour of sea, love the reflection of the clouds in the water and the old wharves. We Took Mum to NZ for her 90th birthday, as it was always her wish to go there and the actual day was when we were in Otago soI have fond memories of there. It is a most beautiful part of the world
