Dedicated to Kathy @cashew after reading her personal history which has sad memories...
Hidden beauties within the flutterby! Memories flutter by!
This is a day of butterflies here - seldom seen. One came inside and after fluttering futilely on the inside of the window, finally stopped for a breather! I let her out after I got this shot. There was another shot which showed a crimson look to the inside of the wings but liked this one taken high up on the window against a white sky.
Three good things:
1 We sold an apartment in a big city that we bought at an outrageous price absolutely years ago. Unfortunately, the block it is in has several hundred apartments some of whom have been found to have incredibly bad structural problems! Hence our loss. But still pleased to get rid of worries!
2. Sat outside most of the day and read! I’ve also learned that reading an actual book is the best!
3. Thai takeaways.
Beautiful detail, well caught. Its very unusual.
Best to let things go whatever, like the building, they just hold you back. Nothing like reading a book too!
Lucky it needed a rest so you could capture (and release) this colorful butterfly. I'm waiting for a monarch to find my swan plants but no such luck yet.
Beautiful shot. Great white background. A fav. I am glad your apartment sold. I am sorry it sold at a loss. I have sold at a loss before and have felt bad about that.
I'm at such a loss for words!!! Haven't had a photo dedicated to me, much less a butterfly that holds such sentiment for me. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and send you much love and many hugs!!!! How wonderful that you were able to catch it's beauty and then let it free!!! Perfect details and POV!! Thank You, Thank You and Thank You!! I LOVE IT!!!! Instant FAV!
@kiwinanna Believe it or not - today (Sat) there was a big Monarch butterfly on the lawn going from one dandelion to another! Tomorrow's posting for today! I"ve never seen one here before and never been able to photograph one!
@maggiemae How exciting! I captured a monarch here, last year! Been here 40 years and it was the first one I have seen!!! Not a good photo that I took, but you could tell what it was!! LOL He was at the top of my camellia tree and I didn't have a lens with a big enough zoom!! Can't wait to see yours!!
