This is some sort of unfolding fern - the way they do. A stray lobelia has invaded the space!
Three good things;
1, Absorbed in following a huge mountain race event called “Godzone” adventure. Its a 7 day non stop race where they may not stop for sleep at times! www.godzoneadventure.com

3. Made more cherry pies which fell to bits but were still delicious.
@shepherdmanswife Yes, good idea - now I shall go out and whistle one up with my own ladybird whistle! I have seen one or two around but they are so quick I could never catch one!

I hate that when I make cherry pies or tarts, I cut the first slice and all the filling oozes out of the rest of the tart!!
Cherry pie....mmmmm, filling oozing out to mix with lashings of double cream....mmmmmmmmm!!
