The sky this morning had north west influences in it - the slim dish-shaped clouds and the day did warm up but without sun.
No time to find any other shots - Book Club today at my place.
Three good things;
1. Egg sandwiches are a favourite with Book Club afternoon teas. I also made sandwiches with , cream cheese, chopped macadamia nuts and chocolate sprinkles! Rather too nice!
2. I bought a cake which was called ‘Hummingbird Cake’…...; packed with banana, pineapple and topped with zesty cream cheese and a crunchy pecan brittle. It was so nice I had a slice and I don’t normally eat cake!
3. Our cat, in spite of her age of 14 years, still likes to pretend that there is a mouse climbing the wall!
all those delicious things you've listed make me hungry; of course it doesn't help that I've been craving for cake - a good cake - for days now. your guests will be happy with your offering.
Can I come next time? Sounds a wonderful afternoon maggie! A book club with delicious food!
I have just woken up....Jo rang to see how I was so tablet time! I got sand in my camera so have just bought the next model up, body only for a great price. Might have changed the make but as I have all the lenses & view finder for the Olympus it made sense to get a replacement. I do like the size of the one I have so happy to stick with it. I shall not be taking any cameras to beaches from now on! I will see how foot is in the morning but it's the shock to the body that is affecting me most tonight. Lovely sky!
Your body clock must be totally out of whack! Hope you are not awake all night! The sand up where you were is always so soft and dry so dangerous for cameras. Down here its more packed and wet. But a good wake-up call!
Thanks Maggie but think maybe the cost of all those long haul flights may be a bit much! I'll be there in spirit and will have to try those sandwich filings.
Your book club spread sounds wonderful! Our book club usually just wants wine - and then sometimes we actually talk about the book! We should just call it "social club."
