A day of travel - Amtrak from Boston to Portland -couldn’t see the forest for the trees out the windows. Ferry was a new catamaran on its first journey from Portland, Maine to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia! They served champagne (we didn’t have any ‘cause we couldn’t work out what they were saying on the loudspeakers - damn!). There was a violinist who played in our area of the ship - she was very good but I got a little tired of non-stop violin.
Three good things:
1. On the ferry there was a sharp jolt and a bang! While we worked out where the life-jackets were, we were advised that it was just a submerged log!
2. There was a dog on board that was not allowed and although its owners tried to hide it under a rug, it kept pushing its nose out and barking! Not a good idea!
3. Thought we were eating roast beef salad but after failing to find any, realised it was roast beet salad! Got to watch that!
Amazing photography. My husband was born near Portland. You have now traveled from the state I was born in (Washington ) to the state he was born in and we still haven't met! Interesting three good things today and I loved your tags

@summerfield I'm not entirely happy with this shot, Vikki! Would have loved a bit of mist swirling around as well. Maybe Peggy's Cove will be more accommodating!
On that same day, a friend of ours waited to take the ferry from Yarmouth over to Portland! We're so happy to have the ferry back in service after having been removed for a few years! The photo is lovely!
