The camping adventure moved on from the green fields of Dunback to the soft and golden sands of Hampden Beach. Its a lovely beach which holds the famous Moeraki Boulders, a good walk from our busy camping ground. Its the middle of the school holidays here and there are lots of children, one little red-haired boy I can see creeping up behind the goose family that lives around here.
Three good things;
1 The first photo I took was the best but there were others of various birds wandering in and out of the waves.
2. Famous fish and chips from the store
3. Too cold to swim - haven’t bought my swimsuit anyway!
At first I thought your boy was part of Eka's story & a plant but then looked closer & I see a real boy. This photo has a very dreamy ethereal quality, sort of like a story book. I have been on the Moeraki boulders beach this Soring when we were staying with you so I know exactly where you are!!
@happypat The boulders are a good 30 minutes walk down the beach from here, Pat. I'm struggling with getting any cellular or Wifi connections here so am unable to 'surf'! I'll have to do that on the waves.... not!
It's interesting what you've done with this... I don't normally like selective colour but here it creates a painterly feel which I find attractive. The clincher though is the PoV with the foreground grasses creating a frame for the child. An easy Fav!
I love this peeking through the grasses shot of this young man.
