This morning the wind was bucketing our caravan around’; the poor black swans had given up trying to find food; the picture out of a side window showed a furious lake bashing itself on the shore and bushes going sideways! But rather beautiful I thought!
Three good things:
1. At the next stop - found out that everything was operating off our battery! Then John pressed the right button on the campground’ s power connection! Our poor auto satellite connection got renewed hope in finding connection but - no! Too many trees.
2. Playing ‘Whispering Hope’ on our stereo - I do love this - hope that our distant neighbours didn’t hear me harmonising!
3. John got a call from some visitors to NZ from California who had been given his phone number from the Museum in Invercargill - they came out specially for Burt Munro connections. Met them in Gore and they were very happy!
Would be a beautiful scene on a calm and sunny day !! the water does look in turmoil and I can see the grass almost horizontal as it is blown in the wind . It sound as if you are having quite an adventure in the c/van -- keep having fun !!
You're still learning then re caravan! So much to learn on these upmarket modern machines! The wind rocked you to sleep then, quite romantic! I like looking out on a wild scene when you're snug & warm inside! Which lake is this?
