The first event on this Bike Challenge is a Hill Climb and there wasn't a shortish of competitors, only not so many spectators with continual rain and very low temperatures! Here John is being interviewed by the race commentator.
Three Good Things:
1. We spent most of the day on a 'data pickup' crawl. Various spots round the city were identified and once you were there, you got a gift of megabytes We ended up getting 3 gigabytes on that trail!
2. I got wet socks with one of these treks but had one pair of dry ones left!
3. A long lost nephew to meet. He was adopted out as a child and the family just found him this year. He was over the moon being a biker, that Burt Munro was his grandfather!
This makes me feel cold and wet too. How interesting that you had a 'data pickup' crawl.. Sounds like a great idea. I hope the weather improves - we are having such a very wet spring here too.
Amazing news for that young man Maggie, would love to have seen his face when he learnt that bit of news! Love this photo of John in the rain, lovely wet detail so a fave.
This could be one of those photo challenges where you present an image and people write short stories imagining what's happening. What stories we could all tell!
