Silver Linings.. by maggiemae

Silver Linings..

We were promised thunder and lightening and mercy me - we got both! Love it ! I think I am a Thunder Child!

After that had passed …. may be enhanced on the Black….

Three good things
1. Made Kirk Roast (who knows what that is?) and the gravy was part of this dish. My mother taught me how to make gravy but I have introduced stock that I have made myself into this.
2. Another photo of a rose - but thats just another photo of a rose.
3. My hubby is still clumping around with a supermarket plastic bag on his foot. The toe injury hasn’t stopped bleeding. But we have been to the Doctor.
Beautiful image Maggie!

Magnificent! Love a good, noisy storm!
January 6th, 2017
A beautiful shot of the drama and I am with you about loving a great thunder storm. Just one more way we are alike
January 6th, 2017
@grammyn There is something about thunder - so dramatic!
January 6th, 2017
I must check out Johns injury, I must have missed a post!
This shape looks like a bear in full flight! Can you see his head up as he zooms along with his arms back? Black eye & black nose!
January 6th, 2017
@happypat Wow - didn't pick that out, Pat! John had a piece of wood fall on to his toe and the injury has now just barely stopped bleeding after 3 days! He's on blood thinners so that's to be expected!
January 6th, 2017
Lovely shot of the storm. I enjoy them but my dogs hate them!
January 6th, 2017
Great image - thunder storms are great, as long as you're not in a tent!
January 6th, 2017
Great shot. I can see the bear too. Hope John is better
January 6th, 2017

Very dramatic indeed!
January 6th, 2017
Dramatic sky image! A fav I hope John's foot is better soon.
January 6th, 2017
What a dramatic capture...the bear popped out right away before I even saw the comments of others.
January 6th, 2017
Impressive cloud capture. Interesting to imagine various shapes. Fav
January 6th, 2017
Very dramatic!
January 7th, 2017
super shot. I can see the bear @happypat well spotted.

I love a good thunder storm and I could do with a few silver linings at the moment.
January 7th, 2017
This is great, you can really feel the thunder
January 7th, 2017
@onewing The silver linings are always there, Babs! You just need to have the right specs on! Keep looking!
January 7th, 2017
@naomi I wish we could have sound and smell with our photographs, Naomi!
January 7th, 2017
I am sure that I see an eye in it.
January 7th, 2017
Fascinating clouds and brilliant light/color. Poor John!
January 7th, 2017

I hope his foot is better now

January 7th, 2017
A wonderful dramatic shot fav
January 7th, 2017
Thunder and lightning! Wish we had the drama but by the time it gets up here all we get is rain!
January 7th, 2017
Well captured. Very difficult to capture.
January 7th, 2017
Great moody tones Maggiemae
January 7th, 2017
Such drama in the weather! Well captured.
January 7th, 2017
Great Bear?! We love storms too.
January 7th, 2017
Now that's a storm! Love your list of 3 things - nothing like concentrating on the positive (seeing the sun instead of the clouds).
January 7th, 2017
count me in, sister.
January 7th, 2017
So dramatic. Could be a still from a horror film Maggiemae.
January 7th, 2017
Nice light and capture
January 7th, 2017
Great image. The light really draws you in. Nice work.
January 7th, 2017
Very dramatic looking sky and sounds like there's been some drama in your surrounds as well. I have missed a few days due to very busy work load and internet issues. I will try to do some catch up but time is not really a willing participant at present.
January 7th, 2017
@salza No particular drama here in the immediate past, Sally! Nice that you took the time to comment here!
January 7th, 2017
@maggiemae I was referring to John and his bleeding toe. I see that you have explained what happened in reply to someone else! I hope all is now sorted.
January 7th, 2017
@salza Thank you Sally - he's still got the plastic bag tied on to his foot but the bandage is almost clean now!
January 7th, 2017
Do you want to know what I see in this cloud formation. well, a face of an ice bear and another one of a monkey. looks really great on black. fav.

Toes and finger tips bleed a long time with or without blood thinners and I have to take two of them every day.
January 7th, 2017
@bruni Yes, you would know, Bruni- its been 4 days now and the toe is just starting to dry out! I can't find the monkey!!
January 7th, 2017
Maggie, when you look further down from the zooming bear you see a golden colour cloud. in the dark part of it I see two big eye and they to me look like the eye of a monkey.. just my imagination I guess.
January 7th, 2017
@bruni Oh, I thought that was the bear! Now I can't see the bear - will have to cross my eyes and concentrate!
January 7th, 2017
I love thunder and lightning too. Sorry to hear about your hubby's foot
January 7th, 2017
@pixiemac They are two events we can't capture on a camera, Sarah though I have seen some lightening photos which must be the result of a huge storm and a tripod taking photos all the time! Not for me!
January 7th, 2017
OOh scary sky but I like a thunderstorm when I'm indoors - or I did until we got a scared dog!
January 8th, 2017
Drama in the sky.
January 9th, 2017
