For some reason my camera refused to get the focus on this photo - I checked the battery - OK. I think it may have been the inside light.
Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. A great place to visit if you have enough time. I walked over 4km today and my feet are aching.
Three good things;
1. I got a good focus as well on this gondola where son and wife and young granddaughter were enjoying the ride.
2. Grandma took the iPad off granddaughter who was in bed with it - for hours!
3. The 'Dodge Caravan' we hired as a 7 seater for us all is so comfortable!
The same thing happened to me when I was trying to get a picture of some birds. So frustrating. Gave up and later turned on camera and everything was fine. Sure wish I knew what caused that issue.
Mysterious image to go with the mysterious malfunction of the focus. Nice effect though. At first glance, I thought you must have transported yourself to Italy.
When lighting gives you low contrast (so the camera won't focus right away), make Monet! LOL You definitely made the best of it. This is a super fun shot!
Every now and then my camera also refuses to focus on something. I'm not sure why but it seems to get confused as to what is the foreground and what is the background. If I have time, I just turn the camera off, wait a few seconds and then turn it on again and it works just fine. This is fun though- even though it's blurry- very dreamy- which I'm sure is what a ride in a gondola would feel like!
