I love flowers in the home so picked some winter roses (hellebores) and put them on the coffee table. A few days later they had all drooped over but I liked the form as well as the colour.
Three good things:
1 We spent a few hours taking everything out of our caravan for handover! I am not taking all the books back on board - so heavy.
2. John spent $37 US on 550 books to be sent on a hard drive! Thats $NZ.09c per book. So we will have no need of bookcases!
3. More experimenting with my sous vide machine. Takes at least 45 mins to heat up! Then a minimum of 2 hours to cook - but the result is worthwhile!
Love the softness and colours of this shot.. I love flowers in the house as well and extra nice when you can pick them from your garden.. Sounds like you should be on Master Chef with the Sous Vide machine..
Beautiful graceful droop Maggie! The green is pretty cool too! How on earth did John choose all those books? The mind boggles! Your books are so expensive so I reckon a good buy! Sous vide, is that the water bath thing?
@happypat I think it was just a bundle he bought - hope there are some good ones amongst them - probably have to delete a few! Sous vide is the water bath machine. Its not that easy. But very good nutritionally as the minerals and vitamins are not leached out as in boiling etc.
i love those winter roses.
my friend gave me a plant like that for my front yard garden but I think they died and did not come back... i need to get another one and care for it better.
the colour is so pretty.
are you moving?
love to read your 3 good things.
@gq Thanks Ma'am! These flowers die completely out of season and you would never know they are there but they pop up at the right time. Not moving - just traded our caravan for a motorhome!
This is lovely focus and light. The colour is fabulous too. Glad you are enjoying the new camera. The fabulous preview on mine is what has helped me so much.
This is wonderful, love the color and the laying over! You and your husband are busy folks! Motorhome travel is wonderful if you have the time. You will love it!
Lovely colours, looks like a painting. Love books but they do take up a lot of space. Plus novels only get read once and then just gather dust. So much easier having them on an e-reader.
They're very droopy flowers even on the plant! But beautiful, nevertheless. I like the light here - it makes me think of being in some forest glade, rather magical.
