I do appreciate all the lovely comments I get every single day! Connects me with the world!
This is a wildish but public Park scene with daffodils, on my way walking home and I have used ‘befunky’s app for a Van Gogh style here. It is what I really like.
Three Good Things;
1. Coffee at a neat Oamaru cafe with incredible food and lots to see - like bicycles and ladies with fur coats, on the wall. The ladies are not real of course!
2. Another good book by Kate Morton! The last, “The Lake House’ kept me entranced for days! This latest one “The Forgotten Garden” says it is over 10 hours to read! Keep me happy!
3. Tomorrow two huge trees are toppled in our section - will have to take photos every hour! It is known that both cats and rabbits inhabit these!
This is a great app! Definitely Van Gogh style. The basis though is your photo which is inviting to start with. Love the colours and love the squiggles. Fav.
Sleeping Beauty wood, I think it's the tendrils, give it two years & you would be completely enclosed! I think I read both those books but can't remember the stories, I like Kate Morton though. You forget when you read so much!
@happypat She seems to set them in Cornwall and have a mysterious mansion in it somewhere. This is a park for "whither shall I wander' including sheep, Pat!
Maggie, you've excelled yourself - this is wonderfully whimsical. Yes the processing is amazing but it's your excellent composition that forms the bedrock of this image.
I like the way the path is winding through the image, it makes a great invite to explore further. Fun processing too.
A film about Van Gogh - Loving Vincent - is due for release next month. It's made entirely of oil paintings done in his style and animated.
@maggiemae There's some trails on Youtube, Maggie. I came across the film quite by chance when it was mentioned in an art page (Colossal) I follow on Facebook.

I don't know "befunky" app, it is for mobile devices?
