Hoped the sky would be clear for a unique morning photo in this wonderland.. I was not disappointed. This is our RV sitting there in amongst magnificent NZ scenery.
Three good things:
1 I went walking up a long trail but got nervous with all the avalanche thundering sounds from this area. I turned around and walked back enjoying it.
2. Met an Asian couple (maybe Japanese) who stopped and bowed at me on this trail.. I bowed too and repeated what I thought they had said… Masssagigibieogi”…They laughed and clapped each other on the shoulder!
3. The water in Lake Pukaki was just so beautiful and I was able to ask John to stop often for photos!
Fav,fav, fav !! What a beautiful scenic view with the morning sun causing light and shadows on those snow-capped mountains and the pop of red of the car adding to the scene !
Ooh Maggie you make me laugh !! I wonder what you did say in reply to the Asians to make them laugh !!
I believe it's the coldest lake in NZ is it? I can't believe how far behind I am with your photo! I need to slow down & catch up! This is so wonderful & a big fave for me. You are dwarfed by those mountains, did you walk up to the decreasing glacier, I was shocked at how it had receded! You have mastered that new camera big time!
