Mellow Yellow by maggiemae

Mellow Yellow

From camping in the woods to the comfort of a warm fire and some unpacking. On the way there were several yellow miles on either side. We stopped to capture this scene.

Three good things:
1. Sheets and towels washed.
2. No wind or rain - as forecast - yet. Supposed to be in the middle of the night.
3. Two beautiful roses have bloomed - our first!
Stunning... love it when the mustard is in the paddocks.. and a bonus for a neat little cottage as well... fav

That's what I needed! A very dull, grey and misty day here.

Haha ... sorry about that .. annoying when that happens .. sometimes I mention it sometimes I don't .. could be mustard, rape, canolla ... all seem to look the same .. we have mustard seed growing in the market gardens here .. just used as a 'green' crop to rest the paddocks before they put the next crop in ..

@julzmaioro Interesting - we had a big garden and learnt to sow lupins in it for resting. More colour!

@julzmaioro
I thought rape too, and only recognise it from its overpowering and unpleasant (to me) smell. Fortunately, farmers don't grow it around here any more. Mustard, with very similar similar flowers, doesn’t smell.
