Posting early as I'm on the plane to Auckland on the way back home and I totally miss the 29th January! How can we do that!
This was the house boat community in Sausalito in San Francisco. These tiny houses are all connected to all facilities that a house could have. But they are all unique, totally different, odd, quirky and quite delightful.
Three good things;
1. I have recovered somewhat after 14 hours rest and sleep.
2. The night in the plane is ahead of me but I think I will take 15 sleeping pills and be carted off in the morning - just kidding!
3. Nothing lost or left behind... yet!
Shame you are missing the 29th it's apretty good day ... though very hot and humid... hope you are lightly dressed for the heat wave that you will hit when you land in Auckland ..
Cute little home. Many of us strive to have big houses with lots of space and land but l guess really all we need is somewhere to sit, eat, sleep, cook and ablute (is that even a word?!!).
did you stay in this house? that would've been so cool. hope you are well rested now. my boss and his wife will be coming back from NZ on wednesday. they will be gaining a day coming back while you lost a day going back in. hope all's well.
How utterly charming...I can see a birdbath there, table & chairs for coffee/meals, 2 chimneys on the roof, small but, all you could need....safe travel home.....what a lot you have seen & done....:) :)
What a great time you have had,apart from life's ailments at times..seems ages since you left on your journey..but then it is!love this house boat.safe home x
I love Sausalito! Such a great place to visit and only 2 hours from my house! A village of artists, actors and creative people. I hope you enjoyed it! :)
The simple life here Maggie! No flying around the world just pottering & living easy. Not many possessions to lose but of course it might all be an illusion & they don't live like that at all. You are probably on NZ soil now as it's 8.20am in the morning there.
