Happy to leave Auckland and its queues of traffic all day, behind, we drove into this little seaside place, Raglan, well known for its surf.
This was one of the buildings I wanted to photograph but had to wait for ages for a truck parked in front, to move!
Three Good Things:
1. Overnight stay in the grounds of the Raglan Club. Plenty of parking life to watch and rugby was on the big screen after a really good dinner.
2. Able to recharge my computer at the Club.
3. Postcard scenes down by the water.
I love Raglan one of our regular haunts when our youngest son lived nearby. Love it's charm & relaxed lifestyle. I recognise this building! There is an amazing coast road south which takes you along a very scenic route, wouldn't be suitable for your camper I don't think but I will always remember that road.
@maggiemae twisty roads too, I remember being quite worried as Jo drove the car along, Ant was fencing along there so we met up. Fish shop is brill, you can buy all sorts in that shop & a great place to eat either in or out. A leather shop there too.
My favourite seaside town, under an hour from us. The road Pat is talking about, is definitely not one for a camper van, but she's right the views are fantastic. And yes, it's gravel
