This is what we always knew as Mt Egmont but the name is changed to suit the Maoris to Mt Taranaki.
I was out on a walk down the breakwater here in New Plymouth and the sun shone, children fished and little boats sailed!
Three good things:
1. Caught up with a grandson here who is doing well with owning a house and...and audi car!
2. A super site for our motorhome right above this port.
3. Our toilet flush has failed but we will cope with extra water.
A beautiful photo of a really nice area. Mount Taranaki always looks so amazing jutting out into the sky in that conical shape. We once went to this area looking at farms to buy, they were expensive, good rainfal apparently! Good for the grandson,so satisfying when they make us proud!
@happypat The grass is so green here, they must have a good rainfall! Young grandson does work and play so hard! A bit like our adventurous son, Shaun who is now settled having married.
Wow - a view of the mountain that likes to hide. Stay off the beaches there as they appear to be the property of @graemestevens ! Belt Road camping ground?
@dide I couldn't compete with Graeme so no beaches from me. Anyway we have shot off down south and are now in Wanganui. It was the Belt Road Camping Ground - one of the best!
