Branch design

I’m so happy that others comment on my photos - each one is viewed singly and appreciated!
This one was taken from my seat by the computer looking out at the garden. I tried to use my camera as binoculars but there was no definition!
Three good things;
1 I noticed the mildew shapes on our big Kowhai tree branches and made them the subject as in a portrait.
2. Hubby and I had the most wonderful conversation about our individual pasts before marriage and after. What defines a career?
3. Cheese sauce - goes with everything except ice-cream!
Love the light and focus of this subject. Inspired to post one of my garden area by this
#3 ...and maybe cake?

@grammyn Yup! Cheese cake might have the name but no sauce!

I do liken the lichen and moss - they make such interesting patterns. It sounds like a great conversation - interesting wen we reflect on life's twists and turns- if it wasn't for one event or decision made what else would or could have happened....? Such an interesting question - it has got me thinking.

Great shot - love the colours and textures

(Did you know there is a recipe for blue cheese ice cream? Maybe cheese sauce would go with that!)

What a fascinating conversation. I was talking with my teenager about similar issues a few days ago. When I was his age, you were supposed to have next to nothing on your CV and stick with one job for life or as long as possible or you looked flighty. Now you look like you have no nouse about you if you don't have a long CV with lots of jobs on it. Things have changed, that's for sure! Cool view out of the window. I often use my camera as binos when I am at the cricket, funnily enough!

@casablanca I didn't even have to have a CV - just chose the job in the area I wanted to go! And hubby went from strength to strength with no university education whatsoever!

@4rky mmm... Not sure I would like blue cheese ice-cream! We have a specialist company that makes ice-cream - he even does marmite..... as well as the most divine hokey pokey!

@maggiemae Just brilliant! Bizarre, eh? I studied at university and the most common thing I heard was "you are over qualified!"

Amazing shapes, with squiggles & different shades in your macro window view. Sometimes we can't se the wood for the trees but he we have a close up we can't miss. Talk is so good, I admire you both for your continuous chat, we can never know too much about our partners, good you listen to one another even after all this times!

@gijsje @happypat You have to make the most of it when he puts down the book, tablet and says something which requires an answer!

I love your three things. Been talking a lot since Dan has been sick with cancer. He needs me and I need him just as much and we are concerned about each other. Have not talked about our past in a long time but remember talking about it. How fun. Love your photo and the way you captured this part of your tree from where you sit. I can just imagine. FAV
