The only flowers around in midwinter are amazingly enough - the yellow rhododendrons.
I chose this shot apart from one that had a well focused bee on it.
Thankful for:
1. Sun in a day where other places got snow!
2. Took time and trouble to create a good lamb casserole - another photo.
3. Phone call on a Sunday! - the district nurse will come here to dress John’s new injury which I think looks awful! We will see what she thinks… why are they all female?
@pamknowler He scraped a bit of skin off his shin, Pam and it being aged ( as well as him) takes a bit of looking after. To me it looks like an ulcer now! We will see.
Oh dear worried when I read this, legs can be very tricky as we get older. Is it the same leg as the other injury? I’m busy taking my DIL father to the surgery twice a week for leg dressings. They should come out to him really as he walks badly & then only with Zimmer frame but at least it gets them out & a change of scenery for the moment anyway. I’ve been hearing about the snow everywhere even as far up as Rotorua!
Ouchies, leg sounds worrying. Not cellulitis infection? Had that a few times myself. I sincerely wish him well and hope the district nurse was helpful. (Yes, why are they always ladies?)
Yellow is a great shade to have around in Winter, brings in the sunshine.
@happypat Same leg, same district nurse for the dressing! However they come to your home and have all that's necessary in a small suitcase. The nurse wrote down - 'very independent' on her record for John.... correct!
@casablanca No not at all - no infection yet - that's so important. I know that C.I. is awful! Hey, in the hospital there was a male nurse! He was good.
