The Lone Scottish (or Scotch) Thistle by maggiemae

The Lone Scottish (or Scotch) Thistle

Over the road is several acres of just farm fields. We are lucky with that! I used this single thistle as a test between 2 cameras. Not as fine a focus as I hoped.
Apparently it really is the Scotch Thistle and In Celtic symbolism the thistle represents nobility and graciousness!
Thankful for:
Finally caught up after a few days away and my travel computer making the grade with repairers to fix the space bar!
Oh my there are usually several plants together, this is a good capture of this one. We say Scottish.

Surprisingly beautiful....you would never expect a prickly thistle to look this good! The blighters doesn’t spread though....one plant a farmer does not want in his fields!
