It is some years ago since we were travelling in the Ozarks - the Missouri floods were happening, I remember. But this bar continually intrigued us out there off the main road. It was always so full and the bar waitress who was not called Maggiemae, did absolutely everything! Took orders, made cocktails, did the dishes, delivered meals, talked to all! She told us the tips made her rich!
Thankful for:
Memories - maybe John started calling me Maggiemae from then!
When I am in Italy I see many places named after my surname Giorgio which in Italian means George. Many people, even in Malta, think it is my first name and there are a few spots carrying my surname.
Hope you got a discount.....perhaps you weren’t Maggiemae when you went in only when you came out! I once tried asking fir a discount jokely from a restaurant called The Knowles Arms...no joy!
