As usual by the sea, a cafe has seagulls fighting over who is going to get the leftovers! This was on the Viaduct in Auckland which was not full of people but many. All those boats worth millions parked there waiting for the charter which may never happen for a while.

@onewing I think what @pusspup says - is the reason for this giant gull! Forced perspective. There were a lot of gulls all screeching around and I cropped the photo to get this one.!
Amazing timing and clarity for this photo. Fabulous to catch him in-flight like this, Maggiemae. Such good news about the Covid too. Gives me hope that there might be an end to it.
Cheeky seagull. Looking at your photos in Auckland with people in cafes and restaurants almost seems alien to me in the UK. NZ has worked hard to get to where it is today in terms of Covid 19. Not sure how confident I will feel when we get to where you are.
And Ant says the shops & cafes are booming & he has so much work so really pleased for you all.
The harbour area of Auckland fascinated me, all this amazing yachts & boats....it’s a place to eat at in one of those fab restaurants!
We still have the occasional new Covid 19 cases surfacing, not down to zero yet. You really got ahead of the game in New Zealand.
