The blur and the focus.. by maggiemae

The blur and the focus..

The beginnings of Spring
I took the opportunity to use a high f-stop (low)..(isn’t that confusing?_) to try and get a fine fine focus into the middle of this huge rhododendron. The flowers are all unfolding but our rhodos come out over 6 months so this is just one.
Thankful for:
I guess I need chocolate to unfold. Gave John the chocolate almond packet and after the first 2 that we both shared and enjoyed, another one got fired across the room. I caught it!
Chocolate is always a winner for me! I like the peeking through the bushes look to this.

F-stops are indicated by f/# so think of it like a fraction - 1/2 cup of sugar is more than 1/4 cup of sugar.

Beautiful shiny images. Love the richness, light & almost fluorescent colour....sort of stripy humbug wrapping paper!
