But I applaud the photographer who got this photo! Just what we all strive for - the emotion from our great Prime Minister and the Doctor who is overseeing the whole pandemic. I wish I could see the settings for this shot!
This is today when it was found more Coronavirus cases in the community not linked to any known source!
Don't mention this to hubby - but this guy is my hero! He also has played rugby!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond Nobody would have cropped her out - she is part of the photography! Apart from that I think our current PM is so strong and capable. Not sure where you are, but we have had an coronavirus scare!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond@maggiemae I didn't vote for her party in the last election...she has handled a natural disaster, a mass shooting and now a pandemic with dignity, capability and empathy and proven her worth and then some. The party I voted for have behaved like nothing more than ill tempered children and continue to do so. She has my vote, for what it's worth.
P.S This really is a fab shot
I find her impressive indeed from my news-only viewpoint in England. Interesting to see this other major player in your current situation too. Ex rugby, eh? Lovely :) I hope it all calms down speedily for you there. We are still seeing over 1,000 new cases per day here and around 100 deaths a day, which we bizarrely think is low because in April it hit the dizzy heights of around 8,000 new cases per day and deaths were up towards a thousand a day. Long Tail Covid is the bothersome part now with many many people still ill nearly 6 months on. Horrid virus! Avoid like the plague......because it is one!! Super photo and I suspect a very shallow dof achieved it with focus on only him. I can see why you like it.
@casablanca I would think you are right, with the camera settings! And a bit of zoom there as the press are out in the audience..
I've been watching the UK cases as have several I know in that land. Its not too bad considering how many people live there!
I think this is a great shot!! I have also been very impressed with your PM and the way she has handled so many awful situations. I wish we had her here in the UK!!
A terrific portrait indeed. I heard the news yesterday and wondered what that was going to mean for you. We are still struggling along in our cases here.
@maggiemae WE have been on that since MArch with mnasks becoming mandatory in July and still so but so many people here think the rules are for someone else!
