Man's best engineering...

The sea constantly erodes the territory here, so much of the seafront has collapsed into the sea. They put these sand sausages seen here on the left to try to reduce the erosion. August 2016. I think it has worked.
Thankful for:
Plenty of time to decide on a walk along the beach in the sun.
Nice to see St Clair Beach still has a few old pier poles in the water. A photographer’s delight.

Sand sausages?? Sounds like someone dropped their barbie food on the beach!

I like the angle of your shot that shows the beautiful ocean and the sand as well as the engineering efforts

A great capture of this. Keeping erosion at bay is a never ending effort on our beaches, as well.

Oh this looks lovely on a damp dreary chilly day in England.
I bet you had your sandals in your hands & bare feet.....lovely sand that is too. Looks very inviting!

@casablanca I think its an apt description but not one for the dinner table!

Love your leading lines. And what an interstellar concept. What beach is it and where?
