Real Xmas pudding by maggiemae

Real Xmas pudding

A tricky situation where I needed help. Firstly with tying the knot securely - Hubby learnt his knots a a marine course. Secondly, making a loop where he could retrieve this wonderfully smelling pudding safely to a hanging situation. From thence to a cool temperature then into the fridge for up to 2 months - so the recipe says!
Thankful for:
the fruit mince marinated in brandy for over 24 hours!
Great Capture. You keep it in the fridge?? Mine's on top, wrapped in greaseproof paper, foil and Cling film!! Home made much tastier than shop bought

Oh my what an ambitious undertaking. I know it will be so good! May I ask, why do you hang it?

Is the piece of wood to hang it from? Quite a process, it’s years since I made a Christmas pudding but I do t like it so I just buy a small one for Harry. Your will be wonderful & quite surprised you still eat it when it’s hot at Christmas.

@happypat We are having Xmas at our son's place in Christchurch, Pat so there will be at least 6 of us! And it might not necessarily be hot - one Xmas recently - there was snow on the hills!
