When the moon is visible and almost full, one has to go for it. It might be cloudy tomorrow night. I tried with hand held and with tripod. Much better with tripod of course. I also tried to get a shot of Venus and it seemed to be a bright spot with 4 tiny spots around and one friend said - impressive capturing the moons of Venus. Then I f found out there were NO moons on Venus!

Oh, Maggiemae ! You have come such a long way with your moon shots. I remember how you used to struggle. This is remarkable. Several people have commented about catching Jupiter and some of its moons so that is probably what you saw.
