Taken through our lounge window in a bit of a hurry. I noticed a lot of movement in our azaleas. My camera has a 'bird' option and it worked here - push the button and a lot of fast shots happen. Good to see what actually happened!
@rensala He's what's known as either a, "ring eye' or a 'white eye or a 'wax eye'! Whatever. I do know that these particular ones are NZ specials ... but have found that in other countries they are exactly the same but called different names!.
the bird looks rather startled by the bird option on your camera - how clever these cameras are nowadays. It was still down to you to spot that movement though and point the camera to the right place at the right time. Aside from the eyes, the bird blends in well with the bush.
