I waited in eager anticipation to see the moon. I was outside knowing the moon was rising at 8pm with a warm jacket on- (that's me, not the moon!) Nothing...nothing! Then suddenly the vaguely red outline of the moon appeared quite high in the sky! There must have been low cloud. I took this around 10pm.
I found the same… usually I can see the moon from my east facing kitchen window…. Nothing for ages and then she appeared… around 8.20pm very small and high in the sky .
Oh, Maggiemae! You have a struggled from being someone who tried so hard to get a good picture of the moon to someone who takes remarkable ones especially of the eclipse. This is magnificent.
