my iPad using uTube has 'virtual bike rides' you can watch. I put them on full page and there is music that goes with them. Today, I was going through some valley with mountains and forests on either side. It was my incentive to keep on cycling until it finished. Great to have that exercise!
I have tried the walking ones, but I get bored. I got bored while walking in place, so I started doing the sittercise exercises, and they worked. And they don't trigger my back arthritis like walking in place
@joansmor I agree totally, Joan - got to do something to interest the brain.I'll have to google sittercise. Maybe it means you sit while exercising - boring too?
@maggiemae on YouTube, look for the channel SeniorShape Fitness for sitting Yoga and Improved Health for sitting exercises. They both have other kinds, but they are the two I watch and use regularly in my daily exercises.
This has always looked fun- if I could do it at a leisurely pace. But they always show these young folks who are as thin as a rail peddling away like they to shed 100 pounds. Not appealing what so ever!
@olivetreeann Totally agree - and its dangerous. If they have an injury or illness and can't keep up the regime, the body continues to absorb any nourishment it can and then they gain weight rapidly!
