Been watching this online most of the day. They start on the West Coast of NZ, run, kayak, bike over the mountains and down a long river finishing on 70km of bike race to the East Coast at New Brighton in Christchurch! It's so tough and demanding yet so many (1500) want to try to achieve! This photo is at the end where they encourage supporters, family to join in to the final run to the finish! It brought me to tears!
@julzmaioro haha - even after he’d completed 243 km, I still wouldn’t have been able to keep up! I agree Maggie, it’s heartwarming to see the support the competitors get.
