Number Nine

No 9 President was Wiliam Henry Harrison. Harrison died on his 32nd day in office]of complications from pneumonia, serving the shortest tenure in United States presidential history. He was grandfather of Benjamin Harrison, who was elected as the 23rd President in 1888.
Never heard of him till now!

Great statue and interesting to me -- my office building at the university is on Harrison Street. He had some strong Chicago connections.

@taffy Interesting to read of the connections, thanks Taffy! I see no connection with George, however!

Great shot, Maggiemae. I have heard of him but I always forget the name. This would probably be a pointless answer on a subject about US presidents!

I know I had to memorize all the presidents when I was in grade school, but that was a LONG time ago! I do have a slight connection to one of our presidents- Grover Cleveland. He was born in the town I grew up in.
