The Bridge that is 117 years old by maggiemae

The Bridge that is 117 years old

This is not that old in 'world' years but is in "NZ' years. It spans the great Clutha river that helps with our energy use at the moment! This is Sadie cruising up there towards the Central Otago hills
Instant fav! I love the symmetry and the grains in processing.

Wonderful shot Maggiemae! Great pov! Always interesting to read your narratives. I love travelling around NZ with you both and Sadie of course. Did you walk across the bridge? It looks too narrow for two way traffic!

@pamknowler Yes it was a one way bridge, Pam! When it was built they probably only had horses and carts. I was standing here and had to run to get in the car because another car came up behind me!

Really nice. Looks like the bridge goes on forever. I'm sure the car in back of you was thinking, "crap, another one of those crazy 365 people."

I like the lines. The colour is pretty cool for a bridge too.

NIce composition - I will miss Central, as my two sisters who lived there have moved!

A great pov capturing the strong looking bridge as it spans the width of this great river ! Gosh you had to sprint a fair distance to catch up with Sadie !!-- I can just imagine the thoughts of the car driver behind you !!

I hope John is driving Sadie and that she's not just cruising on her own! You can tell this is an old Bridge because it was built at a time when one-way traffic was all there was! It's a fabulous perspective and a terrific looking bridge!
