Close up

A better camera setting and I stood on the corner and got this as they came round the corner.
I have plenty of choices for shots and scenes in the next few days. My knowledge of my camera has got better.
Invercargill and the BMC
many were thundering down the west coast over the last few days

@golftragic They might have been travelling for 1000's of miles! Some have - a lady travelled 16000 kms through NZ to be here!

@maggiemae Gosh, what's the event/gathering all about - other than a motor-bike love-in, that is.

Now we're talking! Nice Ducati! I'm longing for a ride, but guess I'll have to settle for your shots.

@golftragic John 's (husband) father was Burt Munro who broke a world record on his 1920 Indian motorcycle in the '60s and a film was made about him called "The World's Fastest Indian" Invercargill started a rally event called the Burt Munro Challenge where bikers could come and participate or watch seven different events over 3 days including a Beach Race. The latter is so exciting and offers lots of photographic challenges - sand in one's face is one of them!
