I think this word describes the scene accurately! We were sitting at the window in the pub and outside was a small girl waiting for her Farmer family to come out. The pub was full of loud youngish men all come in straight from their farms. The gumboots were left outside.
The lighting suggests this little girl was standing on our menus which of course, did not happen.
