Abandoned On Four Acres

The house on four acres is now completely abandoned. Construction on 17 new homes will begin shortly. I wish the walls in the home could tell the stories of the last 80+ years.

With housing shortage in New Zealand, adding more houses lost during the weekend to the weather storm,17 new homes sounds like what we need here.

I don't like demolishing old houses. Maybe the people are gone, but the soul remains. And the contemporary ones are so strange and without a soul.

@haskar I have to say that I agree. The interesting thing is that a development is really just a bunch of houses where people just live close … It’s kind of like living in a condo and never knowing your neighbor. People might be close in proximity but they are far apart in relationship.
