Memories

These always remind me of my mum and her 'love' of gardening. We always had loads of these in a garden when I was small and she always tried to dig them up as she was not fond of them! I really like them, we have a few clumps in our garden, and they always remind me of her.
Fav - lovely!

Love the black background, it really shows off the shape of the petals. Really nice to have a flower in your garden that reminds you of your mum

Oh this is truly delicious - fav. A plant full of nostalgia and a trinity of beautiful fronds and spikes. Love it.

@randystreat I believe they are Centaurea a sort of perennial cornflower. They are so attractive and much loved by bees. Lovely to have plants in the garden that hold memories.

@quietpurplehaze @photobird @sarahlth @casablanca @joev @ziggy77 @lyndamcg @777margo @johnfalconer @Cherrill Thank you for your lovely comments and fav's - so chuffed that this was so popular.

Thanks Cherrill for the 'real' name - we always have known them as cornflowers since I was a child. They multiply really easily and so I keep giving patches of them away to friends. Anyone is East Yorkshire is welcome to some!!
