We will always remember them. by mandygravil

We will always remember them.

We visited Lincolnshire yesterday and went to St. Andrew's Church Kirton in Lindsey before moving on to the International Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln (you can find the photo yesterday).

Community volunteers spent months knitting 8000 poppies to commemorate 100 years since the end of WW1.

A wonderful trip out and very moving. We are such a lucky generation to have not known anywhere like the hardship of others from all over the world. I thank them for our freedom and will never forget.
A wonderful tribute.

A poppy tree. A nice memorial and remembrance to those who served during that war.

When I saw this in the thumbnail, I thought someone had decorated a Christmas tree with the poppies. Phew! So glad I was wrong! I think all the remembrances I saw this year were quite special. Sounds like this one was too. Good shot!
