It’s beginning to look a bit like Christmas!

Our starter for Christmas. They are called seasonings. We have had these since I can remember. They are made with minced meat, sage, sage and onion stuffing, onions and diced bread. Bound together with egg. Roasted in the oven. The ones to the side are without onions for my niece. They are a real family tradition and always bring me back to my late parents and in particular my grandma who lived with us and I loved dearly.
Great shot and sounds very tasty :)

@seattlite Thanks Gloria - they are.
@paul10 It is Paul - we don't have many.
@Dawn Thanks Dawn
@carole_sandford Thank you Carole.
@onewing Thanks Babs. We all feel very Christmassy when we smell them cooking. Reminds us too of our pate parents.
@randystreat Thanks Kathy. Hopefully - my sis usually makes them now this is only my second attempt and typical mum never gave us the quantities only the ingredients in her recipe. She said she used to 'bake by eye' - not very helpful for us :)
@chrisiow Oh yes! The smell is what gets us as I mentioned above.

There are so many things I've stopped doing as we now travel to our son's home for Christmas and I'm really missing them this year. Most of them are connected to my mother and father as well. These sound delicious- although I'd probably have a "light on the onions" batch if I was making them. Good shot- we can almost smell the sage!

@olivetreeann Thank you Ann, the smell we get when they are cooking is absolutely Christmas for us.
