I took 50 shots tonight. Froze my buns off. Tried this setting and that setting. Stayed up way too late waiting for the clouds to clear. So, this is my first official shot of the moon with my new camera. I'm pleased.
@oblateal I don't even remember all the combos I tried. I do remember I was freezing. I think I need a remote. Shivering while trying to press the shutter button is impossible.
Great capture of the moon! I was going to take a shot last night, but before I got home (only 5 minutes from where I was) the cloud obscured the view :( I believe you'd be very happy with the outcome with a wired shutter release, makes a huge difference at such an enormous distance. Hope to see more next month!
This is great, Amanda! I never got a shot this good before getting my 200mm lens. You put so much effort into it, also--wonderful job! Next time I'm using my new shutter-release, as Bill mentioned (above)...&=)
